ABOUT US

The Assam Investment Advisory Society, established in 2010 and headquartered in Guwahati, Assam, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting regional development. Its mission is to enhance investment inflows through the design and implementation of ecologically driven strategies rooted in the principles of Naturenomics. These strategies focus on six key dimensions of ecological competitiveness: Land, Energy, Waste, Water, Air, and Carbon (LEWWAC).

The organisation primarily targets impact spaces involving youth, forest fringe communities, and children within these communities, fostering sustainable development and resilience through its initiatives.

Reshaping Education in Forest Fringe Areas

AIAS is reshaping education for children in Assam's forest fringe areas through its pioneering FFS Model. These underserved areas face challenges in accessing quality education. AIAS bridges this gap by transforming schools into hubs of learning and empowerment.

Empowering Women & Youth

AIAS is transforming lives in Assam by empowering women and youth through skill development and entrepreneurship. We focus on breaking poverty cycles, promoting gender equality, and creating sustainable livelihoods with innovative, impactful programs.

Sustainable Livelihood Opportunities

AIAS is creating livelihood opportunities for underserved communities in Assam. By equipping women and youth with skills, resources, and entrepreneurial support, we promote self-reliance, foster long-term development, and reduce poverty sustainably.

Supporting Vulnerable Communities

AIAS supports vulnerable communities in Assam during disasters and human-wildlife conflicts. We provide immediate relief during emergencies and implement long-term strategies to help communities recover and build resilience against future challenges.

Impact areas of AIAS’s projects

Striving for the betterment of Forest Fringe communities, AIAS, founded in 2010, promotes regional development by driving investment through sustainable strategies in Land, Energy, Waste, Water, Air, and Carbon (LEWWAC), guided by Naturenomics™ principles.

AIAS provides access to education, preserves indigenous knowledge, and fosters community-driven development through joyful, experience-based learning. It also focuses on educating children and women in healthcare, environmental stewardship, human-elephant conflict mitigation, and sustainable livelihood promoting holistic community growth.

Through the Forest Fringe School, - keeping in mind the location and the communities associated from within these communities - AIAS is in search of sustainability systems, traditional knowledge, and hands-on learning tools to empower the women and children while create a lasting environmental and social impact.

Message from the President

The Assam Investment Advisory Society was born out of a desire to bridge the gap between disadvantaged communities in Assam, and the key universal basic assets needed for real socioeconomic mobility: education, energy, access to water, livelihoods and healthcare. Women have been the prime motivator of this vision, as visionary leaders who see the bigger picture for their communities and are unafraid to demand more and work for the well-being of their communities.
