Empowering Grassroots Women through Solar Light Distribution

Women play a crucial role in the protection and conservation of our environment and natural resource management. Strengthening the role of women in conservation and with the aim to provide them access to sustainable energy, Assam Investment Advisory Society celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March, by hosting a joint event with MASK at a village near Bhalukpong. 180 solar lights of Sun King brand were distributed among women from 25 villages. 10 lights were also distributed to the members of the Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark, who were devoid of electricity at their homes...
